The District of Westside will be developing its very own B.C. Spirit Square, providing increased accessibility and new community areas, thanks to $100,000 from the provincial government.
The project will upgrade an existing downtown park by building pathways, a pavilion, space for public art, a children’s playground and a community garden.
The project site is an urban park located in the heart of downtown Westbank that is in close walking distance to schools, stores and restaurants and a major aquatic facility.
The funding announcement was made Feb. 8 by Okanagan-Westside MLA Rick Thorpe.
