B.C. Spirit Squares
Funding to Support Expansion of Grizzly Plaza for Revelstoke

Funds for Revelstoke's Spirit Square include expanding Grizzly Plaza as an accessible public celebration place for residents and visitors alike and reflect Revelstoke's unique character, heritage and cultural diversity.

The Grizzly Plaza extension will offer an enhanced space for people to gather and enjoy the downtown core and provide four hundred per cent more street space for special events.

Expanding Grizzly Square between 1st and 3rd streets means better opportunities for residents to gather in the downtown core. It also fits with Revelstoke's plans for building on the community's popularity as a tourism draw as well.

Revelstoke will receive a $86,000 grant from the provincial government for this project.
