Prince Rupert will develop its very own B.C. Spirit Square, thanks to $182,500 from the provincial government, Premier Gordon Campbell announced April 24.
Pacific Mariner's Park has become the focal point of a revitalized area of the city with many pedestrian-friendly upgrades along the waterfront area. The Spirit Square funding will help provide a gazebo, site furniture, paths and an area for vendors to provide services for tourists from visiting cruise ships.
