Lytton will be developing its very own B.C. Spirit Square at Pocket Park thanks to over $69,000 from the provincial government.

Funding from the Province's Spirit Square program will pay to build several terraces on the bank of Pocket Park to create seating areas as well as to create easy access to the park and the centre of town from homes east of Main Street.

Residents, including First Nations of the area, will be encouraged to become involved in the design of the project.

The announcement was made Aug. 13 by Blair Lekstrom, Parliamentary Secretary for Rural Development and MLA for Peace River South, during a visit to the community.
