Lake Country Becomes Home to Spirit Square Legacy

Swalwell Park in Lake Country will soon have its very own B.C. Spirit Square thanks to $215,000 from the provincial government.

The square will further enhance and expand traditions within the City of Lake Country and become a focal point that people will identify with as a gathering place in the city.

Located in Swalwell Park, the square is within easy walking distance to other civic facilities, the downtown commercial area and recreational facilities.

The location is further enhanced by additional amenities in the surrounding area including a skateboard park, baseball diamond, high school and arena.

The funding announcement was made Sept,. 21 by Kelowna-Lake Country MLA Al Horning.
