Invermere will be developing its very own B.C. Spirit Square, thanks to $262,250 from the provincial government, Community Development Minister Blair Lekstrom announced Aug. 12.
The funding will make possible the completion of Pothole Park and the construction of a large central outdoor amphitheatre to serve as a multi-purpose performance stage. Pedestrian pathways will connect the park to the downtown and nearby neighbourhoods.
Completion of Pothole Park will provide a central celebration space for current and future citizens to enjoy.
