Hope to Create Spirit Square Legacy in Memorial Park
Hope’s well-used Memorial Park will be upgraded and improved, helping the community celebrate its rich history and commemorate BC150, British Columbia’s 150th anniversary.
The Province is contributing $500,000 from its B.C. Spirit Squares program.
The funding will create an events lawn, expand the tennis court for multi-sport use, create a water feature with a water recovery system, provide tour bus and plaza kiosks, and expand the existing Japanese garden.
The announcement was made March 28 by Barry Penner, MLA for Chilliwack-Kent and Minister of Environment.
