The Town of Fort St. James will be developing its very own B.C. Spirit Square, thanks to $110,000 from the provincial government.

The Spirit Square will be constructed on Stuart Drive, near the commercial core of the town, overlooking Stuart Lake.

It will include extensive landscaping, including stone surfaces, benches, historical photo displays, trees, flower beds and lighting.

The project will also include improvements to the existing cenotaph and workers' memorial site.

The funding announcement was made Aug. 15 by Prince George-Omineca MLA John Rustad.
