The Village of Chase will be developing its very own B.C. Spirit Square, thanks to $211,000 from the provincial government.
The funds will be used to develop a community gathering place in Memorial Park near the downtown core.
The project will include: developing a large gathering space for community events; band shell with performance space and covered seating; washroom, change rooms and maintenance supply storage facility; concession; playground facilities, enhanced landscaping, public art and improved site lighting.
The announcement was made Sept. 4 by Kamloops-North Thompson MLA Kevin Krueger.
